I mean, if you think about it, you wouldn't expect your daughter to marry an ogre, and that's how I understand him. Speaking of which, she is so awesome in that, using her headbutting skills to break down a wall in the prison! And I love how she gets a bit of time spending with her grandchildren (even if they vomit on her dress).Ĩ: King Harold - Out of every father who gets jealous of their daughter's boyfriend, or husband, King Harold is the most understandable.

She even gets to be with Harold because Fairy Godmother made a deal, so that Lillian and Harold would be together, and even though Harold gets turned back into a frog at the end, Lillian still cares for him, even feeling such sorrow when he passes away in the third film. Even love how he uses his breath to blow at the Fairy Godmother and make her drop her wand, so the other fairytale creatures can get it.ĩ: Queen Lillian - She is a loving mother to her daughter Fiona, and I love that she is voiced by Julie Andrews, the one who portrayed the original Mary Poppins, in the Disney movies! Another fact is that unlike her husband, she doesn't mind who Fiona has married, as long as she gets to see her again, and Fiona and Shrek are happy. And those clothes that he wears, that are meant to be Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother's clothes, look nice on him. In fact, I love how every time someone finds him in a bed, he goes, "What?" Speaking of which, it was also funny how he has been sleeping in Fiona's bed in the second film, when Prince Charming goes to find him, hoping it would be Fiona. If you like any of them, that's great, but if you don't, that's fine by me.įirst, here are some honourable mentions:ġ0: The Big Bad Wolf - He may be portrayed as the villain in the original story of the Three Little Pigs, but here, he has a kind heart. Now that I've done my Shrek controversy meme, it's time to talk about my top ten favourite Shrek characters.
